House & Grounds

"Our grounds and facilities are a beautiful blend of country charm and comfortable quarters.  We love spending time here with friends and family."

Grounds

The primary goal of the Club is to feel like your family’s country getaway, without having to go too far from home. Located in Weldon Spring, on the hills overlooking the Missouri River and Chesterfield Valley, the Club offers access to hundreds of acres and miles of trails through forest, pasture, field, and stream.

The Clubhouse

At the heart of Strathalbyn lies the clubhouse. The house is quite literally built around the original log cabin, which was built in the 1820’s as a family farm house. The interior of the log cabin serves as a quaint, private dining room known as the President’s Room.

The rest of the clubhouse includes the main dining area with high, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and a massive stone fireplace to provide wonderful ambience for dinner on a crisp fall night. Before dinner, guests often gather in the bar and the living room, which features another large fireplace and multiple seating areas for friends and family members to gather.

Two large patios surround the clubhouse. In the front of the house is a brick-paved, and tree-covered patio that overlooks the stables and equestrian riding ring. Guests often lounge in the shade enjoying the service of the outdoor bar that adjoins this patio. In the rear of the house is a large patio that offers wonderful views of pastures, ponds, and sunsets. This area can easily be covered to accommodate large parties for outdoor events.

The back lawn of the clubhouse hosts horseshoes pits, picnic tables, and a large fire ring. Behind the clubhouse is a large pond that provides hours of fun and memories as families chase the “big one.”

The Club can comfortably accommodate 90 guests indoors and 250 under tents on the rear porch and lawn.

The Pavilion

On the highest hill, overlooking the Missouri River valley, sits the Pavilion. It is an open air structure of impressive scale, constructed with hand hewn wooden beams and rod iron accents. The pavilion serves as a memorable backdrop for everything from a casual family picnic to one of a kind weddings.
