Strathalbyn’s unique setting provides a memorable backdrop for a variety of events including weddings and rehearsal dinners; board meetings; birthday parties; or simply hosting a group of friends who prefer to let their children play in a safe, comfortable environment while they dine at a leisurely pace and avoid the hectic atmosphere of a restaurant.
Whether the event requires elegant plated meals with fine china, or a casual buffet set in a picnic style, the Club can accommodate the seating, décor, and service requirements necessary for a memorable event in a very unique setting. The Club offers an expansive menu from which the host can select meal options, or the chef will happily prepare any off-menu meal requested by the host (including bringing in grandma’s special recipes!)
Events are often hosted at the Clubhouse, including the patios that surround it, or the Pavilion. The Clubhouse is built around the original log cabin, which was built in the 1820’s as a family farm house. The main dining area features high, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and a massive stone fireplace to provide wonderful ambience for dinner on a crisp fall night. Before dinner, guests often gather in the bar and the living room, which features another large fireplace and multiple seating areas for friends and family members to gather before the meal. The Pavilion provides an open air setting to serve as a memorable backdrop for everything from a casual family picnic to one of a kind weddings.
